An early morning shooting at a popular Pacific Beach bar sent a woman to the hospital. San Diego Police say that just after 2:00 AM a group of men were heard loudly arguing when several shots rang out. A stray bullet struck the woman who was taken to the hospital by paramedics with non-life-threating injuries. Police say that the suspects may have fled in a Chevy Camaro or a Dodge Challenger.

Someone is hiding cash around San Diego then posting clues to its whereabouts on twitter. The would-be philanthropist uses the twitter handle @SDCashStash. Yesterday he tweeted a picture clue of a “cash stash” that was found by man saying he’s going to use the money to buy dinner for some homeless people. This all started in San Francisco when another person was doing the same thing using the twitter handle @HiddenCash. It’s become an internet phenomenon. Reportedly @SDCashStash is going to tweet out another clue today.

Proposition’s B and C on tomorrow’s ballot make changes to the controversial Barrio Logan zoning plan and some supporters are demonstrating outside a Barrio Logan Elementary School at 8:15 this morning. Supporters say the new plan gives business more land, creates a buffer zone between industry and homes, along with keeping pollution away from Barrio Logan’s residents. Opponents say any changes to the current plan could hurt businesses.

And finally tonight at 7:30 the 13th annual Klezmer Summit concert is helping to round out the 21st annual Lipinsky Family San Diego Jewish Arts Festival with “My Yidishe Mambo” at the Lyceum Theatre in Horton Plaza.

Increased security welcome students back to class today after threatening online messages closed the school late last week. Police and school administrators closed the Heritage Digital Academy Middle School, Heritage Digital Academy High School, and Escondido Charter High School on Friday because of the threats. On Thursday an anonymous person threatened the schools saying it would come under “a barrage of bullets”. Ominously the suspect also said “You’ll see me on the news”. School officials and police say that they think the school is safe enough today for students to return.

Two sentencing’s of note this afternoon in San Diego’s downtown courthouse. Paul Aaron Brinkman will hear his fate for charging a police officer with a pair of scissors. And Victor Manual Diaz pleaded guilty to prank-calling his sister saying there was a bomb in her car, which caused authorities to shut down Interstate 15.

Tonight at 5:00 the San Diego Unified School District Board of Education is meeting about a budget plan and how the state’s spending proposal will impact the school district.

Two San Diego based destroyers deploy this morning from Naval Base San Diego. The USS Kidd and USS Pinckney will be the home away from home to over 600 sailors for months to come. While on deployment the ships will be training with some of our allies and what the navy calls “theater security cooperation and maritime presence operations”.

San Diego’s County Board of Supervisors is meeting this morning at 9:00 about some new appointments.

Then at noon the Port of San Diego and the homeless charity Alpha Project are signing an agreement with help with our growing homeless population.

A new senior citizen community is breaking ground this afternoon at 12:30 in Chula Vista. The new 156-room community will be called Saint Paul’s Senior Homes and Services.

In court this afternoon at 130 there are two sentencing and two arraignments on the schedule.

Wanda Podgurski is on the docket in San Diego to be sentenced for a frailer to appear. Podgurski was convicted of insurance and disability fraud when she took off and turned up in Mexico. Podgurski was extradited back to the states after she began taunting San Diego’s District Attorney over twitter.

In Vista’s courthouse Pedro Luis Padilla will be sentenced after pleading guilty to many graffiti crimes. Originally Padilla and his 15-year-old accomplice were arrested for more than 400 separate graffiti crimes.

Carlos K Romero is accused of leading police on a pursuit across San Diego County to the Mexican border will be arraigned in San Diego’s courthouse.

And Azteco Frankie Soto is set to be arraigned in Chula Vista’s courthouse for supposedly trashing a South Bay high school cafeteria over the Thanksgiving holiday.

And finally tonight at 5:00 the San Diego Unified School District Board of Education is meeting about a $320 million bond issue and some charter school business.
