Un soldado norteamericano cruzó la frontera con sus armas.

El 5 de mayo familiares y amigos del Soldado Andrew Tahmooressi que se encuentra internado en la penitenciaría de la mesa en Tijuana, realizaron una protesta en el consulado de México en Miami, Florida.

La intención es difundir el caso del militar y buscar apoyo para lograr su pronta liberación de la cárcel mexicana.

La madre del soldado que estuvo destacamentado en dos ocasiones en Afganistán, dijo en entrevista con Tijuanapress.com que esperan que las autoridades de México entiendan que el marine de 25 años de edad, cruzó a México por equivocación portando sus armas.

“El declaró a los oficiales que llevaba sus armas” dijo en entrevista telefónica Jill Tahmooressi, su mamá.

“El nunca quiso violar las leyes mexicanas” agregó.

Brazen robbery at the WalMart on College Avenue has police on the lookout. Last night at 10:00 the robber walked up to a clerk, pulled a gun out and fired three shots into the ceiling all while demanding cash. The store was open but none of the customers or employees were hurt. The suspect fled in a silver Mustang. He is described as a black man, 30’ish, heavy set, about 5 foot 8 inches, with some facial hair and maybe dreadlocks.

Today is a heavy court day.

First thing this morning at 8:30 former San Diego police officer Christopher Hays is set to be arraigned 30-year-old Hays is accused of felony false imprisonment and misdemeanor sexual battery. Three women say that Hays groped them and made them do things for him after he searched them.

Then this afternoon at 1:30 there are three arraignments and a sentencing. In El Cajon’s courthouse Latif Raimo is hearing his fate for trying to shoot at two people he was having some sort of conflict with missing them and hitting a mother with her child.

In Chula Vista’s courthouse Kevin Earl Moore is being arraigned and accused of being under the influence of a drug when he crashed and killed an 89-year-old pedestrian.

In San Diego’s courthouse three employees from Three Frogs tree-trimming company are being arraigned for safety violations stemming from the death of a fellow tree trimmer last year.

In Vista’s courthouse 20-year-old Joseph Larry Flores will be arraigned. He’s accused of stabbing another young man in a fight.

At 9:00 AM San Diego City Council continues its hearings about the proposed budget for the coming fiscal year. Today they are talking about parks, libraries and economic development.

And finally today at the Western end of the County Administration building on 1600 Pacific Highway at noon the San Diego County law enforcement Memorial Foundation is honoring officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
