Aztecs fall to Wildcats in NCAA tournament

[trib_ndn vid=25758487]SAN DIEGO – The No. 4 seed San Diego State men’s basketball team saw their season end Thursday with a loss to No. 1 seed Arizona.

After an impressive run, the Aztecs’ season ended with a heart-breaking loss to top-seeded Arizona in the Sweet Sixteen.

San Diego State v ArizonaThe Wildcats trailed the Aztecs until the middle of the second half. When they took the lead, the Arizona team chipped away a lead.

The Aztecs lead by eight at one point, but Arizona chipped away at their lead.

Arizona freshman Aaron Gordon threw down 15 points for the Wildcats as they came roaring back.

The Aztecs went cold in the second half, at one point they didn’t score a field goal for more than 7 minutes.

Aztecs senior point guard Xavier Thames gave it everything he had. In his final college game, he scored 25 points to cap off a really good tournament.
