Sailor missing after helicopter crash from Santee

[trib_ndn vid=25511416]SAN DIEGO – The pilot of the Navy helicopter that crashed off the coast of Virginia Beach Wednesday was from Santee, officials said Thursday.

The U.S. Navy released 39-year-old Lt. Sean Christopher Snyder’s identified Thursday stating he is the pilot still missing after the MH-53E Sea Dragon helicopter crashed off Virginia’s southern coast.

Naval Air Forces Atlantic said Snyder’s wife asked for his name to be released and asked for the Navy to release this statement:
