Merry Christmas

San Diego’s Mission valley mall is the scene of an early morning Christmas Eve homicide according to San Diego Police. The call came in at 1:14 AM one woman is dead and another is in the hospital. The parking lot on the east end of the mall near the Macy’s store is blocked off. Investigators are still on scene and more info will come out through the morning.

San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency is reporting the number of whooping cough cases has doubled this past year. 12 new cases bring our total to 334 for the year so far. Last year there were 165 cases and the record high was 1,179. Symptoms include a cough and runny nose persisting for a couple weeks. There is a vaccine and however out of the latest dozen to get the disease all but one was up to dare on their shots.

Homeless families and children will have two opportunities to get a Christmas Eve meal today from Father Joe’s Villages. First at 11:00 AM around 1900 people will be served then at 5:00 tonight about 800 will get to celebrate.
