Search in Mexico for missing El Cajon woman

imageEL CAJON, Calif. — A 60 year-old El Cajon woman who disappeared three days ago may have crossed the border and been involved in a traffic collision with a police officer near Tijuana, according to her husband.

Anne Terhune’s family says she left home around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday to visit the Fletcher Hills Branch Library.  Several hours later, her husband called police when she failed to return.

Terhune was driving a 2004 gold Mercury Marquis with California license plate 5KLY673.

Her husband, Brian Moon, said El Cajon Police called him the next morning to report the car was spotted crossing the border at the San Ysidro port of entry around 11 p.m. Tuesday.

“I don’t think this is something she would do.  It’s completely out of character,” said Moon.
