AM Briefing from for September 18, 2013

This morning at 7:30 former Assembly member and current Chair of the Sierra Club Lori Saldaña is going to make an announcement with mayoral candidate David Alvarez. Everyone believes it is going to be her endorsement.

In front of San Diego’s Police headquarters in downtown at 11:00 AM several law enforcement groups will give their mayoral endorsement.

San Diego’s City Council Public Safety and Neighborhood Services Committee will meet today and talk about San Diego’s ambulance contract.

Distracted driving is the topic of a 10:00 AM press conference at Rady Children’s Hospital. A father that lost his 5-year-old son because his sister crashed after getting a phone call while driving.

This morning at 7:30 at the Escondido Chamber of Commerce experts are talking with the committee about the Affordable Care Act. Another talk on the Act is also set for 6:00 tonight at the Health and Human Services in San Diego, and the Joselyn Senior Center.
