DiMaggio is believed to have killed his old friend Christiana Anderson and possibly fled with her teenage daughter and 8-year-old son. Authorities also think DiMaggio may have explosives now as well.

DiMaggio is five foot nine inches tall, weighs 150 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

He is thought to be driving a 2013 blue Nissan Versa sedan. California license plate 6WCU986. Anyone with any info should call San Diego County Sheriff’s Department at (858) 565-5200.

This morning at 9:00 in San Diego’s downtown courthouse the sentencing of three men in connection to a murder-for-hire plot involving the infamous Arellano Felix drug cartel. The men pleaded guilty to various charges related to the 2011 plot to kill a mother and son who owed Tijuana based cartel money. They are looking at sentences form 15 to 25 years.

At 10:00 the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority is having the official ribbon cutting for Lindbergh Field’s newly remodeled Terminal 2.

[trib_ndn vid=25012699]SAN DIEGO – Signature gatherers are slated to hit the streets of San Diego soon in hopes to hold a recall election to potentially kick the mayor out of office. Some critics are convinced the recall is virtually impossible.

April Boling, a veteran political fundraiser, officially joined the Recall Bob Filner campaign this week. She was compelled to get involved as the accusations of sexual harassment against the San Diego City Mayor mounted.

filner-and-SD-money“Our challenge in this, isn’t to convince people to sign the petition,” said Boling. “We need people with big money to deliver. We need people with small donations to deliver.”

Boling, who helped run the Proposition B campaign for pension reform, said she’s been surprised with the outpouring of community support for the recall. Thousands of donations have already come in, but the campaign will need at least half million dollars to be a success, Boling…

Fletcher would consider run for mayor if Filner resigns


SAN DIEGO – Nearly a month after several former supporters of San Diego Mayor Bob Filner asked him to resign amid sex harassment claims, former Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher chimed in.

Fletcher appeared on Fox5 Thursday offering his opinion on the future of Filner in the mayor’s office.

“We are a great city and we have a mayor that is an international embarrassment. Which is why so many of us have called on him to resign,” said Fletcher, who previously tweeted that he called Filner requesting him to resign.

Mayor Bob FilnerFilner has so far rebuffed numerous calls for his resignation from political and business leaders, including seven of the nine members of the City Council, the San Diego County Democratic Party Central Committee, former Mayor Jerry Sanders, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., Assembly Speaker John Perez, D- Los Angeles and Senate Majority Leader Darrell Steinberg, D-Sacramento.
