[trib_ndn vid=24998948]SAN DIEGO — Mayor Bob Filner’s chief of staff Monday turned over to the City Attorney’s Office notes from two high-level meetings in which sexual harassment allegations were discussed.

Lee-BurdickBy doing so, Chief of Staff Lee Burdick beat a 5 p.m. deadline to turn over the notes or be sued by the City Attorney’s Office.

The notes had been requested by reporters under California’s Public Records Act.

The documents cover meetings which took place June 20 and June 29.

According to the June 20 notes, then-Deputy Chief of Staff Allen Jones told Filner his behavior was unacceptable. In an adjacent margin, Burdick wrote, “Agree. People in my off. crying.”
