San Diego Police are on the lookout for a suspect that snuck into a Rancho Penasquitos home and tried to sexually assault a sleeping woman. At 1:30 AM the victim woke to find a strange man attempting to assault her. In a KSWB FOX5 report the victim describes how she was able to fight the attacker off. He is described as thin, 5-foot-ten, wearing dark shorts, a striped shirt, and a dark hooded sweatshirt.
San Diego criminal defense attorney Judy Clarke is representing the surviving Boston Bomber suspect. The 61-year-old made her career defended notorious clients. According to UTSanDiego.com they include the “Unabomber” Ted Kaczynski, child-killer Susan Smith, and Olympic Park bomber Eric Rudolph.
This morning San Diego’s City Council will think about relaxing certain rules about home water recycling. They idea is to make it easier for people to put in “greywater” systems. Greywater is overflow from showers, clothes washing, etcetera. The water can be used in landscaping for irrigation potentially cutting household water usage in half.
Yesterday San Diego Mayor Bob Filner’s proposed $2.75 billion budget was called generally accurate by the San Diego Independent Budget Analyst or I-B-A. However in that same report the IBA did caution about using a one-time income of $38.4 Million to close the gap. But the IBA is calling the budget “appropriate” and they say they have “no significant concerns”.
