Reportedly the beleaguered San Diego Unified School District may be able to balance its budget. Currently the school district is 84 million dollar in the red but that does not factor in the new money from recently passed Prop thirty, according to Chief Financial Officer Stanley Dobbs. Dobbs is optimistic that once the new info is factored in San Diego’s school’s financial outlook will improve.

A cold storm is moving into San Diego this afternoon. The Pacific will bring rain to San Diego coast and snow to its mountains as low as four thousand feet.

World famous Sitarist Ravi Shankar died at 92. Shankar passed away at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla after undergoing heart valve replacement surgery last week. Shankar was Beatle George Harrison’s sitar teacher and father of Grammy winning singer Norah Jones. Among his many accomplishments Shankar was also a lecturer at the University of California at San Diego
